My name is Kimberly Levine. I’m a writer and designer who has spent years learning to travel with deep attention, arriving slowly, noticing carefully, and writing down the things that most people lose before they get home.

The Cultivated Traveler is a study in thoughtful travel, where place, memory, and meaning are intentionally gathered.

A Cultivated Journey is how you carry it with you.

A personalized travel journal built around
your specific destinations, your specific hotels,
and the intention behind your journey.

Not a template with your name dropped in.
A document built from scratch — with curated photographs of the places you're going, context
written about each destination, and prompts
designed to help you capture not just what you see,
but what you feel, notice, and carry home.

Each journal closes with The Art of Return and
Reflections on the Journey — for the trip home
and the days after — because the journey doesn't
end when you arrive home. It endures.

A Cultivated Journey is also available as a
property-specific journal — built around a
single hotel and its surrounding region,
offered exclusively to guests of that property.

These journals know where they are.
The history of the building, the character
of the town, the experiences worth seeking,
and the ones worth sitting still for.

If you represent a property and would like to discuss a wholesale arrangement or receive a property guide, I would love to hear from you.

The Cultivated Traveler: Returning to What Matters Most
A travel memoir. Forthcoming.
Scotland · Provence · Portugal

Some journeys begin with a destination. Others begin with a question. This one began somewhere in between — in the quiet that follows loss, when the world grows still and beauty starts to feel like something you have to earn back.

The Cultivated Traveler is a reflective travel memoir following three chapters of discovery — Scotland, Provence, and Portugal — and the deeper journey underneath: learning to belong again, to see again, and to trust that the next chapter is worth walking toward.

"Maybe that's what all travel really is — an experiment in belonging. To walk new streets and feel, even for a moment, that you could stay."

Through landscape, design, and the quiet wisdom of places that have endured, this book explores how beauty — when seen with intention — becomes its own form of balance. How the places we inhabit shape who we are. And how, sometimes, returning to what matters most requires leaving home first.

For readers drawn to slow travel, lyrical nonfiction, and the kind of beauty that asks something of you.

The Cultivated Traveler is currently in progress. Updates, excerpts, and reflections from the journey will be shared here as the book takes shape.
